Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak expects bitcoin price to hit $100,000. “I really feel it from all the interest,” he explained. “The interest in crypto is so high.”
Steve Wozniak’s Bitcoin Price Prediction
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak shared his views on cryptocurrency in an interview on the Wild Ride with Steve-O podcast, published last week.
He started by sharing his bitcoin investing experience. “I bought a bunch of bitcoins at first to say how do you play with this new thing? How to buy something online? I conquered that. How do you buy things in other countries and how would you pay for a donut in another country? How do you find an ATM that works on your bitcoin? I want to experiment and learn everything,” the Apple co-founder described, adding:
And then bitcoin soared. Well, I got scared and sold all my bitcoins except one bitcoin.
Wozniak explained that his goal is “to have enough to play, to experiment, but not to make money”. However, “twice it went up and made money,” he noted.
The Apple co-founder then made a prediction about the price of bitcoin:
Just recently, I think bitcoin will jump to $100,000.
He explained, “I just don’t know where that feeling comes from. I can’t put math into it. I really feel it of all interest. Interest in crypto is so high.
Wozniak further revealed that he recently “put a lot of money” in an online wallet on the Nasdaq-listed crypto exchange Coinbase. “Pretty much he’s sitting where he was right now. [It] went up, it doubled, then it halved again,” he shared.
While the Apple co-founder has money in bitcoin, he explained that he’s not an investor.
“I don’t invest,” he said. “I have never invested in stocks in my life. I have never used Apple Stock on the iPhone. Never. Because what? It goes with my happiness formula. He issued the following opinion:
I found that my head comes to a peaceful place where it doesn’t care about all the up and down, up and down, up and down like day traders.
Wozniak has said several good things about bitcoin in the past. Last week, he said Bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency that is “pure gold math.” In July last year, he called Bitcoin a “mathematical miracle”.
